ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

Root Canal Treatment or endodontic treatment is a dental procedure of removing bacterial infected or damaged pulp of a tooth. The pulp is formed by blood vessels, nerve tissues, and other cellular essences. In this procedure, the injured pulp inside the tooth is cleaned and the structure of the tooth is saved from erosion.
Root canal treatment is required when the following symptoms are noticed:
Persistent pain from the infected tooth is one of the major symptoms which indicates a root canal treatment required.
Another sign is swelling of the gum around the injured tooth. The swelling is painful too but it also depends on the condition of your infected tooth from time to time.
The tooth may feel sensitive when it comes in contact with heat or cold.
An appearance of discoloration or black-gray color can be noticed in the damaged tooth which is the result of the insufficient blood supply into the pulps.
Sometimes popups are noticed on the gum around the infected area which makes the breath stink. Also loose or chipped and cracked teeth can be another significant symptom.

There are a number of people who think that root canal treatment might be very painful but it’s not exactly because they think the treatment process is very simple and smooth. Here are the whole procedure follows the steps below:

The infected area is pointed out by x-ray and a local anesthetic is given to control the pain.
Then to prevent the area from saliva, a dental dam is put on the mouth.
A little space is made by opening the tooth crown.
The damaged pulp is removed and cleaned and dried before filling.
After drying the pulp is filled with a sealer paste or rubber compound.
In the last step, a crown is placed to protect the area from any future damage.
